USDT is the popular stablecoin issued by Tether and pegged to the dollar. USDT has wide support outside the United States and Europe. USDT recently pulled out of the EU market under the MiCA (Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation) that required more transparency than USDT and Tether offers.

USDT is widely supported in Asia, Africa, LATAM, and the Middleeast. Although Tether does not have the wide range of banking relationships that Circle provides on USDC, USDT’s market leadership gives it enormous respect and credibility globally.
