Maximizing Wallet Compatibility
Our Platform's Commitment to Diverse Wallet Support
Wallet compatibility is key to an open web, and we believe in an Open Web3. Therefore, we aim to support any and all wallets. However, safety for our customers is our top concern. That’s why we avoid anything that could cause customers to lose access to their coins and tokens. As a result, we maintain a list of compatible wallets.
Ethereum (EVM) Compatible Wallets
In theory, we can support all EVM wallets using only the wallet address. However, in practice, the most common source of lost coins is copy-and-paste errors. These often cause tokens to be sent to invalid addresses. For safety in the EVM space, we offer what we consider a reasonable compromise.
Primarily, we offer native support for any Wallet Connect-compatible wallet. This includes a vast array of popular and secure digital wallets used in the crypto space. When you connect your wallet via Salesforce or the payment page, Wallet Connect is the default method. That’s how we retrieve the wallet address. You can, of course, enter a separate wallet address manually. However, be aware that copy-and-paste errors could occur. We believe that defaulting to Wallet Connect is the most open and secure compromise.
Wallet Connect is an open protocol. It allows wallets to connect easily and securely to decentralized applications (DApps) within the EVM framework. Thanks to this, users can engage with our platform using their preferred wallets without encountering compatibility issues.
Bitcoin Cryptocurrency Wallets
The UTXO family of protocols includes Bitcoin, Doge, and Litecoin. Popular wallets like Coinbase abstract users from managing separate wallets. However, each protocol still relies on its own chain of public and private keys. We are adding wallets upon user request. In each case, we verify how to get the Extended Public Key for safety.
If we do not support your wallet of choice, you can still use it as a manual wallet. In a manual wallet, you simply add public addresses from your wallet and store them in Salesforce. As each address is used, you can add more. By default, the system safely uses a separate UTXO address for each transaction.
If your preferred wallet isn’t supported, please contact us. In most cases, we can add a new wallet within a few days. We just need to verify which derivation paths and protocols it uses. This ensures we can generate the same addresses in the wallet as the software. Doing so helps prevent coin loss.
Wallets for XRP, Tron, Cardano, etc.
We strive to support as many protocols as possible. We know how valuable it can be to accept XRP. That’s why we use XRP-compatible wallet connection protocols. As we add new blockchains, we always ensure we can receive transactions safely. We also prioritize support for the most popular wallets. If your wallet isn’t supported, reach out to us. We’ll work with you to find a solution.
Embracing Broad Wallet Compatibility
Additionally, our flexible system design means that virtually any digital wallet can be utilized. This applies even if the wallet isn’t directly supported by Wallet Connect. Such broad compatibility ensures seamless transactions and smooth interactions within our platform. It also caters to a diverse range of user preferences and needs.
By prioritizing this level of wallet compatibility, we aim to provide a user-friendly, inclusive, and versatile environment. Whether you’re a seasoned crypto user or just entering the digital currency space, our platform’s wallet support is here for you. It is designed to deliver a straightforward, secure, and efficient experience.
Blockchain Payment Compatible Wallets Frequently Asked Questions
Why does wallet compatibility matter for blockchain payments?
Wallet compatibility is essential for an open web and an Open Web3. Supporting a wide range of wallets helps businesses and customers transact smoothly, while maintaining a secure experience across different blockchains and wallet types.
Does your platform support all wallets?
Our goal is to support any and all wallets whenever it is safe to do so. Because customer safety is the top concern, we avoid integrations that could increase the risk of users losing access to coins or tokens. For that reason, we maintain a list of compatible wallets and expand support over time.
How do you support Ethereum and other EVM compatible wallets?
In theory, EVM wallets can be supported using only a wallet address. In practice, copy-and-paste errors are a major cause of lost tokens. To reduce that risk, we primarily support WalletConnect compatible wallets, allowing users to connect securely and retrieve the correct wallet address automatically.
Why do you default to WalletConnect for EVM wallets?
WalletConnect is the default because it reduces copy-and-paste mistakes and provides a secure way to connect wallets to payment pages and Salesforce. It is an open protocol that supports a large number of popular wallets, which makes it a secure and widely compatible option.
Can users manually enter a wallet address instead of using WalletConnect?
Yes. Users can manually enter a wallet address, but manual entry increases the risk of copy-and-paste errors that could lead to tokens being sent to an invalid address. For most users, WalletConnect is the recommended approach.
Which Bitcoin family wallets are supported?
The UTXO family includes Bitcoin, Doge, and Litecoin. We add wallets based on user request. For safety, we verify how to obtain an Extended Public Key and confirm the wallet’s derivation paths and protocols to ensure addresses can be generated correctly and reduce the risk of coin loss.
What if my Bitcoin wallet is not supported yet?
If your wallet is not directly supported, you can still use it as a manual wallet by adding public addresses from your wallet and storing them in Salesforce. As each address is used, you can add more, and the system can use a separate UTXO address per transaction by default.
How quickly can you add support for a new wallet?
In many cases, a new wallet can be added within a few days. The main requirement is verifying which derivation paths and protocols the wallet uses so the software can safely generate the same addresses and help prevent coin loss.
Do you support wallets for XRP, Tron, Cardano, and other blockchains?
Yes. We strive to support as many protocols as possible, including XRP. As new blockchains are added, we ensure transactions can be received safely and prioritize support for widely used wallets. If your wallet is not currently supported, contact us and we will work with you on a solution.
Can a wallet be used even if it is not supported by WalletConnect?
Yes. The system is designed to be flexible, and in many cases wallets can still be used through manual configuration even if they are not directly supported by WalletConnect. This helps accommodate a wide range of user preferences while maintaining secure transaction handling.
