We at Web3 Enabler simplify the management of web3 identity in Salesforce tom empower enterprise users in digital transformation.
Transparency and Traceability on the Blockchain
Take the recent Solana Web3.js supply chain attack as an example.
- The attacker managed to get a private key from one of the maintainers of the popular Node Package Manager (NPM) library used for connecting with Ethereum nodes by using social engineering techniques.
- The attacker then infected the widely used software dependency with malware, which impacted the software built using the affected version of the package.
- Due to the transparent nature of blockchains, the wallet address (the user’s public key) from which the attack was performed could be identified. However, identifying further information about the owner of that wallet required further investigation due to the nature of anonymity and web3 identity.
